Two teens killed in late-night wreck

WHITE COUNTY, Ga. – A single-vehicle crash shortly after midnight on Tuesday has claimed the lives of two Habersham County teenagers.

According to the Georgia State Patrol accident report, the crash occurred shortly after midnight on GA 384 (Duncan Bridge Road) when 16-year-old Walter Avery Camargo of Cornelia, the driver of a white 2006 Hyundai, failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway to the right.

The vehicle began to rotate and with its passenger side struck a driveway culvert then vaulted before striking a second driveway culvert and overturning. After overturning, the vehicle traveled up an embankment striking a wooden fence before coming to a rest. The driver and passenger: 16-year-old Dawson Zachery Ansley of Baldwinwere fatally injured.
