FANNIN, Ga. — Fannin County candidates hoping to fill one of three county positions will have until noon on March 11 to qualify. During the May 22, 2022 General Election, one county commissioner seat and two school board seats will be on the ballot.
As of 1 p.m. on March 8, four candidates have qualified:
On the Fannin County Board of Commissioners, Glenn Patterson (I) has qualified to run for re-election for the Post 2 seat.
The Fannin County Board of Education has 3 qualified candidates so far. Vice Chair Mike Cole (I) has qualified for a re-election campaign. Bobby Bearden (I) has also qualified, but will face a challenge from Clarence J. Farmer who has also qualified.
