FANNIN COUNTY, Ga. – A high speed police chase on Hwy 515 in Fannin County has resulted in a wreck.

According to reports, police were in pursuit of a Ford Ranger and attempted a PIT maneuver.

Allegedly, the occupant(s) of the vehicle then began to throw drugs or drug paraphernalia out of the truck.

Another PIT maneuver was attempted near the bridge.

The truck crashed into another vehicle.

The crash is located by the bridge going over the Toccoa River near the dam.

It is reported that the area is not clear yet and air life support may be needed. Please use caution if you are in the area.
