Man Arrested After Fatal Stabbing at Paulding County Home

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing at a residence in Paulding County on Sunday, according to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 300 block of Amsterdam Way after receiving a report of CPR in progress. While en route, the call was updated to indicate a possible stabbing.

When deputies arrived, they found a man standing on the back porch of the home covered in blood. Deputies ordered the man off the porch and took him into custody while other responding deputies searched the residence.

Inside the home, deputies discovered another man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Fire and EMS personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities identified the man taken into custody as Jacob Brady. The sheriff’s office said Brady was arrested in connection with the incident. As of Tuesday, no formal charges had been announced in the agency’s release.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office extended its condolences to the victim’s family and said the investigation remains ongoing.
