BOLO for Leonard Higdon

The Williston Police Department is still actively searching for Higdon Jr, Leonard Barton. We are asking for the public’s assistance with any information on the location of Higdon. If you see Higdon, DO NOT APPROACH. Please contact law enforcement immediately. Higdon is still considered armed and dangerous.

The Williston Police Department, with the assistance of multiple agencies, have been working extensively on this investigation leading to multiple charges being signed with the Williams County State’s Attorney’s Office. The charges are all stemming from the incident that occurred on Sept. 29, 2022, at approximately 3:40 a.m. Currently, Higdon has active warrants for the following charges:

-Criminal Attempt/Murder (Attempted Murder) (Class A Felony)

-Aggravated Assault (Class C Felony)

-Criminal Trespass (Class C Felony)

-Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer (Class C Felony)

-Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (Class C Felony)
