Windsor View Lane Shooting

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. – On December 17, 2024 at approximately 12:10 a.m. deputies were dispatched to 46 Windsor View Lane in reference to a dispute call.

Responding deputies arrived on scene and observed numerous people near the roadway and a body on the ground.

After speaking with a female resident, deputies were able to determine that earlier a domestic dispute had taken place between the resident and her husband, Rick Reed of Villa Rica, GA (Paulding County).

Following the dispute, a male friend of the female resident arrived on scene and had an altercation with Reed.

Ultimately, the male friend was allegedly shot by Reed near the roadway where he succumbed to his injuries.

The decedent is identified as Abraham Suarez Santiago of Villa Rica, GA (Paulding County).

Detectives with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office along with agents with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI), responded to investigate the incident.

Rick Joseph Reed W/M was taken into custody shortly following the incident and is charged with the following:

Murder (F)

Aggravated Assault (F)

This investigation is ongoing and more charges may be pending.
