WHITFIELD COUNTY, Ga. — A man is being held without bond following a child exploitation investigation in Whitfield County, according to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said its Special Victims Unit completed a local child exploitation case on Wednesday, Aug. 12, resulting in the arrest of Mark Releford.
Releford is charged with sexual exploitation of children under O.C.G.A. § 16-12-100(g)(1).
Authorities did not release additional details about the investigation or the circumstances leading to Releford’s arrest.
Releford remains in the Whitfield County Jail with no bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office thanked members of its Special Victims Unit for their work investigating crimes involving children and other vulnerable members of the community.
