UNION COUNTY, Ga. – A Union County home was destroyed by fire late Thursday night, Sept. 10, in the Cindy Cove area.
Union County E911 received a report of a structure fire at approximately 10:40 p.m. The Union County Fire Department dispatched firefighters from stations 1, 2, 3, 4 and 13, with both volunteer and career personnel responding.
Firefighters arrived to find the home fully involved in flames. Crews initiated a defensive attack on the fire while also protecting nearby exposures.
Firefighting operations continued into the early morning hours. The structure was ultimately deemed a total loss.
No occupants were inside the home at the time of the fire, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been officially determined.
