STEPHENS COUNTY, Ga. – A routine traffic stop in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 4, resulted in the arrest of three Toccoa residents on multiple narcotics-related charges, according to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the stop occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on Highway 123 near the Broken Bridges area after a green Ford pickup truck was observed with an equipment violation. Uniform Patrol deputies initiated the stop and later received consent to search the vehicle.
During the search, deputies reported locating several illegal substances and drug-related items, including approximately 6.9 grams of suspected cocaine, suspected fentanyl, suspected methamphetamine, three bags containing marijuana, Xanax bars, and various drug-related objects with residue.
As a result of the findings, three individuals were taken into custody: Elizabeth Woody, 34, of Toccoa; Jacob Rollins, 27, of Toccoa; and Joshua Gray, 37, of Toccoa. All three were transported to the Stephens County Jail without incident.
Authorities said Woody remains incarcerated on a $107,000 bond. She is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, possession and use of drug-related objects, and a seat belt violation.
Rollins remains in jail on a $106,000 bond and faces four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, along with a tag light violation.
Gray is being held on a $111,000 bond. His charges include possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, four counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and possession and use of drug-related objects.
The case remains under investigation, and all suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
