GEORGIA – Hurricane Helene brought high winds, heavy rain, and damage to trees and power lines.
Jackson EMC announced that crews are actively working to restore power to 10,808 members across their service area.
They stated that this number is already down from nearly 20,000 it started at earlier today.
Jackson EMC has “180 contractor crew members working alongside linemen to clear debris, remove damaged remove damaged trees, and make repairs as quickly as conditions and safety procedures allow until all outages are restored.”
