DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — A Dawsonville man was killed Saturday night following a two-vehicle crash on Lee Castleberry Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Troopers responded to the intersection of Lee Castleberry Road and Foxgrove Drive at approximately 9:30 p.m. on June 13.
A preliminary investigation found that a white Honda Civic was turning left from Lee Castleberry Road eastbound onto Foxgrove Drive when a Kawasaki EX500 motorcycle traveling westbound on Lee Castleberry Road collided with the vehicle. Authorities said the front of the motorcycle struck the passenger side of the Honda.
The motorcyclist, identified as 30-year-old Leonard Cantrell of Dawsonville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No information about the driver of the Honda Civic or any additional injuries was immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
