Danielsville Fire Kills One Victim

MADISON COUNTY, Ga. –  Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced today that a residential fire in Madison County has killed one victim.

Just after 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, a passing motorist reported a structure fire on Shiloh Fort Lamar Road to Madison County authorities. Investigators were dispatched from the State Fire Marshal’s Office at the request of the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department at approximately 7:15 a.m.

“The thirty-nine-year-old, doublewide mobile home was completely destroyed by a fire beginning on the right side of the structure,” said Commissioner King. “The body of the victim has been sent to the GBI Crime Lab for autopsy and positive identification. The cause of the fire is under investigation, though no foul play is suspected at this time.”

Our office worked with the Shiloh Volunteer Fire Department and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office on this case.
