Claims Reported of Law Enforcement Responding to Alleged Shootout in Blue Ridge

BLUE RIDGE, GA — Alleged reports from concerned citizens indicate that law enforcement is currently responding to an active situation off Highway 2 near Chestnut Gap Road in Fannin County.

According claims made by locals in the area, a man is said to have  claimed he would open fire on officers if they did not leave his property. It should be noted that these claims are not yet verified.

SWAT is said to be involved in the response.

FetchYourNews reached out to the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office for confirmation. They confirmed that there is a law enforcement presence at the scene but stated that the situation is ongoing and no further details could be released at this time.
